Casa Esperanza has appeared in the media twice, once in the Dominion newspaper and once on the TV One programme Home Front.
On January 4th 2001 Casa Esperanza appeared in the feature section of Wellingtons morning newspaper The Dominion as part of a week long series of 'Dream Houses'. Val Alridge writes,
"Collin Hope's Casa Esperanza is a gallery of restful curves and interesting corners, with not a door or curtain in sight."
"Love or hate it, this black, curved concrete house in Raumati Beach commands attention from the time you step up to its purple front doors. No less awe-inspiring is the central spiralling stairway, with its mosaics and 100 examples of its owner's artistic talents and mischievious sense of humour."

On April 17th 2001 Casa Esperanza appeared on the TV One programme Home Front.
Dave Cull guides viewers through the house viewing the "ornate spiral staircase" and "gallery like space". Home Front screens every Tuesday at 7:30pm on TV One.
